It’s been a while since my last ‘In My Kitchen’ post but… the kitchen hasn’t been all that quiet!
I developed a bit of a love for Ben and Jerry’s ice-cream (who doesn’t), especially this chocolate chip cookie flavour. What is your favourite B&J flavour?
I’ve been extremely luck this winter, we pretty much haven’t had to buy any citrus! Sumo Citrus sent me these pretty epic sumo mandarins! Have you ever seen anything like it? I give you the low down on them as well as a recipe here.
My sister once brought back some potato and rosemary loaf from Bourke Street Bakery in Sydney and it was just to delicious, that I had to detour my friends so to pick up some more! Have you ever tried any of there goodies?
My sister brought back these olive oils from Cyprus and they are just delicious. The basil infused oil is the best on salads, can’t wait to use it more in summer! What is your favourite infused flavoured oil?
My 16 month old nephew is hooked on dates and sultanas and has got me hooked as well! I do limit myself to having two per day as they are extremely high in sugar! Do you like dates?
After a trip to Costco, my sister also got me hooked onto this roasted seaweed. I can demolish an entire packet by myself! Have you ever tried seaweed?
IKEA is one of my favourite shops ever and after visiting the two Sydney stores twice in one (or maybe two) months I discovered these biscuits, perfect with a cup of tea! Are you a fan of any food from IKEA?
A colleague of mine gifted me with this sun-dried garlic and I have to say it works wonders as a base for soups and stews. It has a slightly smokey flavour to it and can be enjoyed dried or re-hydrated. Have you ever tried garlic in the non fresh form?
As I mentioned we have been inundated with citrus this year! I also received this massive box of blood oranges courtesy of Red Belly Oranges. I’ve already shared the recipe for some candied, choc dipped oranges here and can’t wait to show you what else I’ve made with them. We’ve also been juicing them and having fresh juice in the morning – ah the luxury!
Last but not least, I received some groovy looking spears from the Aussie Asparagus Council. I’m not the best at cooking them so if you have any recipes to share please do!
And that’s it from my kitchen this month! What’s happening in yours? Link up here.
